Shortly after my birth on January 28, 1992 in California, my parents moved to Las Vegas, NV to start a new life. We moved back and forth from Los Angeles to Las Vegas over the years. My mother was a single mother that worked hard to ensure that I had the best that she could provide. We transcended quite a few barriers over the course of my childhood. From surviving domestic violence, to crippling medical debt, school loan debt, and various other economic issues; we prevailed.  I walked beside my mother in 115 degree heat in the dead of summer to attend classes with her at the College of Southern Nevada, and stayed in the computer lab until they shut the lights off.  This is what fuels the fire within me to fight for the working class. In 2006 I moved to California with my father and stepmother, and we lost our home in the infamous housing collapse. I returned to Las Vegas to live with my mother in 2009 and I graduated from Del Sol High School. During my senior year of high school I enlisted into the United States Navy Delayed Entry Program, and I left for the United States Navy after graduating in 2010.  I went on to serve the Navy for nearly 8 years, serving aboard various aircraft carriers for 3 tours to the Persian Gulf.  I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Inherent Resolve, and Operation New Dawn. After being Honorably Discharged from the United States Navy I went on to work for Boeing and various other Defense Contractors as a Union Avionics Technician in the International Association for Machinists and Aerospace Workers. During my time as a Union technician I served as a Steward, fighting for the rights for my fellow union brothers and sisters. I later returned to Las Vegas as an Avionics Technician at Blue Air Training Corp. where I rose from a technician to now a Director of International Trade and Security.
